Deputry CEO of Tourism Development Authority resigns over travelling boss

- A deputy CEO of the tourism development authority has resigned

- Ohenea Akua Manfo says her boss is just interested in traveling and taking per diems

- The tourism minister has ordered for some investigations over the matter

What do you do when your boss or superior take long travels from work and does not contribute to the success of your company?

This is the case with the deputy chief executive officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, who decided to resign because her boss is not working but rather ‘travelling around the world for per Diem’.

According to Ohenea Akua Manfo, also known as Akua Blakofe, she will be resigning by the end of May as her boss, Kojo Antwi, just does not want to work but rather travel across the world and take per diems.

"There are no management meetings. He just travels, travels and travels. If I see his driver, it means he is in the country but if I don’t see his driver then that means he is not in the country,’ she said on the Facebook page.

So far, musician Kojo Antwi, has not responded to these claims but the tourism minister, Catherine Afeku, has called for the boss of the tourism development company to present a full report on the status of the Ghana Tourism Development Company.

Already, there have been series of secret meetings with both parties on the revelations made by the distressed deputy CEO.
