Social media users reject Multimedia Group’s apology for the attack on Ernest Opoku

An attempt by the Multimedia Group to publicly apologize for the attack on Gospel musician, Ernest Opoku, was met with unfavourable reactions from social media users.

Ernest Opoku was attacked during a live programme on Adom FM by a lady known as Nayas.

She is reported to have stormed the premises of Adom FM, and lashed Ernest Opoku with a cane, which was hidden on her body.

The Multimedia Group then issued an official apology on the Facebook page of one of their subsidiaries, Joy FM.

According to them, they presumed NAYAS was a member of the live worship team present to support Ernest Opoku.

They added that NAYAS is a well-known person in the company, as she has contributed to discussions on a number of programmes by the media group.

The apology was however met with an unwelcome reaction from social media users:

According to sources, reports have been made to the Nima Police Station, and in that respect, investigations have commenced.
