Mother of local gospel artiste, Ernest Opoku, has reacted to the incident involving the lashing of her son by actress and producer, Nayas, known in real life as Glady Mensah Boaku while he was performing in Accra-based Adom FM.
In reacting to the caning incident, mother of the singer said she did not understand why Nayas would beat up her son after alleging that she had been put in the family way and ‘bribed’ to commit an abortion.
She added that Ernest Opoku had not introduced Nayas to her as his girlfriend or fiancée neither had he informed her that he had put a lady in the family way.
The mother of the singer went on to attack the actress' personality and said her aggressive behavior was testament of why she was still single and had not found a man to marry her.
She said that Nayas was lucky she did not lash her son in Kumasi because she would have faced her full wrath.
Ernest Opoku and Nayas have been in the news for a while now over an alleged case of ‘hit and run’ and the two have been at each other’s throats.
In a recent development, Nayas stormed the offices of Adom FM in Accra with a cane and gave Ernest Opoku a beating of a lifetime for saying sleeping with her was a mistake.
The actress has vowed to chase the singer everywhere he goes and beat him up till he apologizes for his comments.
Ernest Opoku and Kwamena Idan of Adom FM have lodged a formal complaint at the NIma Police Station over the lashing incident and investigations have started in that regard. Nayas has however been charged with unlawful entry.
Nayas has accused singer Ernest Opoku of putting her in the family way and ‘bribing’ her with GHc 5,000 and 15 pieces of cloth to perform an abortion to save his career.
The actress made other shocking revelations about her relationship with the gospel singer in a number of interviews.
