July-August

They played their first match against Sydney FC. The score was 2-0, after that they played several matches in Australia. The next match was against Western Sydney Wanderers, which they won with a score of 3-1. After this, they played against Bayern Munich in Shanghai. The team had already qualified for International Champions cup. They defeated Bayern with a score of 3-2. They faced Chelsea after this match. Chelsea defeated them easily with three goal difference. In the Emirates cup 2017, their performance was remarkable. Arsenal, Benifica, Sevilla, RB Leipzig participated in the tournament. Walcott was the top scorer of this tournament. In the first week of August they faced Chelsea. In the first half no one scored a goal. This was a debut match for Alexandre Lacazette and one of his shots hit the post in the first half. In the second half Chelsea took the lead, but Kolasinac saved them with an awesome header. For Kolasinac, it was a debut match and he scored a debut goal. September-October:

On 19th they faced Red star or C Zevezda in an Europa League match and secured their win with a score of 0-1. They won against Everton on 22nd October, with a 3 goal difference. The score was 2-5. On 24th they played with Norwich. It was a match of the Carabao Cup and the gunners won the match with a score of 2-1. They faced Swansea city and secured the win. It was a Premier League kick-off and the last match of October.

November-December:

On November 2nd, they faced C Zvezda in Europa league group stage again.The game ended in a draw. On 5th November, they played a Premier League match against Manchester City. Their defense was too weak and Manchester City easily scored goals and won with a score of 3-1. On 18th, they played against Tottenham Hotspur in a home match. Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez scored the goals. The next match against FC Koln ended with a sour note. Fc Koln got the opportunity in penalty and scored a goal. On 26th, they faced Burnley and on 29th, they faced Huddsfield. They won both of the matches with an awesome victory over Huddsfield with a score of 5-0. However, the month of December started on a bad note. On 2nd December, they faced the red devils and guess what? Manchester United won the match with a two goal difference. Good news is that there were no more losses in that month. The faced BATE on 7th, owned the whole game with a score of 6-0. Matches with Southampton and West Ham ended in draws, scores of 1-1 and 0-0 accordingly. They played against Newcastle on the 13th and Ozil the famous German midfielder scored a goal and secured the victory. Welbeck scored in the match against West Ham. January-February:

This month starts with a draw match against Chelsea. The score was 2-2. The performance stats were pretty bad on January comparative to other months. On 7th January, they lost to Nott’m Forest with a two goal difference. On 10th, they faced Chelsea again in the Carabao Cup and it was a draw. On 14th January, in a Premier League match against Bournemouth they lost with a score of 2-1. After this defeat, they got two consecutive wins against Crystal Palace and Chelsea. On 30th January, they lost against Swansea, a score of 3-1. On 3rd February, they played against Everton and scored 5 goals. On the other hand, Everton scored only one goal. They faced Tottenham on 10th February the score was 1-0. It was an away match, they failed to score a goal. They played 3 more matches in this month. On 15th and 22nd they faced Ostersunds in Europa League, Arsenal won both matches. On 25th, they played against Manchester City, lost with a 3 goal difference. The score was 0-3.

March-April:

The first week started with a sour note. On 1st March, they played against Manchester City and on 4th March they faced Brighton. Arsenal lost both of the matches. On 8th March, they faced AC Milan in Europa League, the score was 0-2. Mkhitaryan and Ramsey have each scored . They played a lot of matches in April. On 11th March, they they faced Watford and scored 3 goals. On 15th, they played against AC Milan again and the score was 3-1. On 1st April, they faced Stoke City and secured their victory. On 5th, they faced CSKA in Europa League match and owned the match. On 8th, they played against Southampton and the score was 3-2. At the 81’st minute, Lacazette scored a goal which led them to victory. After a draw with CSA, they faced Newcastle United on 15th and failed to make an equalizing goal. The score was 2-1. On 22nd, against West Ham they scored 4 goals, Lacazette scored a brace. The month ended with a bad note. They lost to Manchester on 29th with a 1 goal difference.

May :

On 3rd May, they played against Atletico Madrid, Arsenal failed to score a single goal. The score was 1-0. On 9th, they faced Burnley in the Premier League, owned the match by scoring five goals. On 9th May, they fought against Leicester city and won the match with a score of 3-1. On 13th, they played against Huddersfield and secured the victory.

Problems and rumors of this season 2017-18

  1. At the start of this season, Wenger said that "We showed great mental strength", But Arsenal lost so many games in premier league this season. Out of 27 matches, they have lost eight matches. They even lost to Watford, Bournemouth and Swansea in away matches.
  2. Arsenal fans in the other hand were blaming the club, because they didn’t spend money in the right way, they were not buying good players and all. They spent a lot of money (a total of £274 million) to buy players in the starting of 2014/15 season. This is the highest amount they have spent in the club’s history. Players like Iwobi, Xhaka and Bellerin received so much criticize for their poor performance in the current season.
