- According to Eyram's mother, Fortune Amey, only GHc1,500 was given to her daughter
Fortune Amey, the mother of three-year-old Eyram Agbanyo has called on the management of Jubilee FM, a radio station, to demand monies paid to them on behalf of her daughter.
YEN.com.gh understands that that Eyram was diagnosed with a hole-in-heart condition.
She is however yet to get corrective surgery because donations collected by a radio station was not given to her mother.
The station, Jubilee FM, is reported to have used its platform to solicit for funds for Eyram, so she could undergo operation.
In that regard, an amount of GHc13,000 was realized, but the station is yet to give the money to the bewildered mother.
For about 10 months now, Fortune has been trying to get the money but without success.
According to her, only GHc1,500 of the amounts realized has been given to her daughter who continues to suffer.
She revealed that the management of station said the final amount received was “too much so they had to use some to create a fund to be helping other children that will be in need…”
Fortune further disclosed that one Pascal Nyamador was tasked to oversee the use of the money, but it appears as if he connived with the station and absconded with it.
Meanwhile, a source at the Keta Divisional Police Command has confirmed that it is aware of Fortune Amey’s ordeal.
It also confirmed that she has filed a complaint against the management of Jubilee FM and investigations have commenced.
