Many of us might have read of events happening across the world that give us hint of the end of the world.

This issue of the end times rings a bell well enough among millions of Christians across the world who have been warned through prophets of the Holy Bible of the end time.

So far, YEN.com.gh has given a detailed account of events that may lead to the end of the world. In fact, the decision for the US to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has been seen as a historic move which traces back to thousands of years of Bible prophecy.

Aside political events, changes in weather patterns including events in the atmosphere like eclipses have also been seen as signs of the end times.

In the Book of Joel, it is written that "the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."

In fact, in the Book of Revelation chapter 6 verses 11 - 13, where verse 12 says: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood."

In the month of July, the world will be witnessing the second total lunar eclipse (Blood moon) of 2018 and this will be clearly visible in large parts of Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. The entire event will last for 103 minutes across the world.

A graphical map by timeanddate.com show that Ghana will be part of the countries across the world that will witness the full lunar eclipse.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and the Moon are aligned exactly or very closely so, with the planet in between.
