Countryman Songo might be proven right after investigations - analysts believe

- The former Adom TV has so far not commented on the issue involving the order for arrest of Nyantakyi

- Songo however seems to be the one to be most praised if it turns out Nyantakyi is guilty

What we know so far is that President Nana Akufo Addo on Tuesday watched excerpts of an investigative documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The president then ordered for the arrest of Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi after Nyantakyi was shown to be indulging in malpractice.

One person who has been a fierce critic of Nyantakyi is Patrick Osei-Agyeman. The man popularly called Countryman Songo, has gone on for years alleging that the FA led by Nyantakyi, was corrupt and ineffective.

Since Nyantakyi took up the presidency, allegation after allegation has been dealt with by the FA. And Countryman Songo has pointed to all of those issues has proof of his claims. The back and forth between himself and the FA has since calmed down.

But the calming down of the animosity between Songo and the Nyantakyi-led FA was after pursued legal action against Songo. The FA president felt some allegations from Countryman Song that sought to malign his character.

But in the face of these orders by the President of Ghana, the public is naturally asking if Songo has been proven right. The man himself has not made comments since arrest orders were made.

However, analysts and legal minds have warned that arrest orders should not be explained as a guilty sentence on Nyantakyi. According to them, Nyantakyi is innocent until the governement can prove he is guilty.

Until then, it is hard to say Songo is happy or proven right in his criticisms of the FA. The FA president himself is expected to hand over himself to Interpol in Egypt on Wednesday. Investigations will begin promptly.
