- President Akufo-Addo has ordered for the arrest of GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi
- The order for the arrest comes on the heels of an expose on Nyantakyi in Anas’ Number 12 video
- A video capturing how Countryman Songo would react after hearing that such an order has been made has popped up on social media
YEN.com.gh has captured an interesting video of how Countryman Songo would definitely jubilate after an order to arrest Kwesi Nyantakyi was made by the President on May 22, 2018.
The video is one which was shot during Songo’s days as host of ‘Fire for Fire’ on Adom TV.
Characteristically of him, Songo was captured in high spirits making some of those funny dance moves he is noted for.
This is exactly the way most people are believing Songo would dance upon the order to arrest Kwesi Nyantakyi by President Akufo-Addo.
On May 22, 2018, the President gave an order to the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service to arrest the President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
According to a press briefing monitored by YEN.com.gh by the Deputy Chief of Staff, John Jinapor, Mr. Nyantakyi was captured in Anas’ video trying to defraud under false pretense.
His targets were investors who had reportedly expressed interest in investing in the Ghana Premier League.
Nyantakyi is also reported to have made damning and disrespectful comments about President Akufo-Addo.
According to him, he had the President in his pocket, an indication that he could dictate to the President at any time to do his biddings.
Nyantakyi also said the President is “seventy-two years”, insinuating that old age would not make the President think and act as expected of him, therefore, he could be easily manipulated.
Interestingly, it was because of this same GFA President that caused Songo to lose his job as host of ‘Fire for Fire’ at Multimedia.
Songo was fired because he opened “too much fire” on Nyantakyi which triggered a legal action.
Now, it seems Songo has been vindicated and as Kwami Sefa Kayi said earlier, Songo would be a topic for discussion with the coming of Anas’ “Number 12” investigative piece.
