- The president of Ghana has ordered for the arrest of the GFA president for alleged fraud
On May 22, the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, ordered for the arrest of the presient of Ghana’s Football Association, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi over an issue of fraud caught in the Anas video.
In the heat of the matter however, a video has been sighted on Instagram page, Dailycelebritiesnewsdotcom showing the embattled FA president dancing with sports journalist and TV show host, Countryman Songo.
In the video, the two men were seen dancing to Akwasi Ampofo Agyei’s. “If you do good, you do for yourself and if you do bad, you do for yourself”.
The two men were surrounded by many people including security personnel judging by how Countryman Songo had always been accusing the FA president of wrongdoing.
The two men who were in high spirits were seen dancing their hearts out and beaming with smiles at a funeral.
Countryman Songo who used to be the host of ‘Fire for Fire’ always lambasted officials of the football governing body in the country and tagged them with many acts of corruption. This in a way brought bad blood between members of the FA and the journalist.
However, after the president was given a private viewing of the new investigative piece from Anas Aremeyaw Anas, an order was sent for the immediate arrest of the FA president who is currently on official CAF duties in Morocco.
The arrest is reported to be tied to the fact that the FA President used the names of the president and vice president to facilitate a reported bribe summing up to $8 million.
He is alleged to have defrauded some investors under false pretenses and could be charged with felony if found guilty.
