Famous Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie has hailed legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Daddy Lumba.
According to the rapper, Lumba has forever remained relevant and consistent in Ghana’s music industry.
Therefore, he would want to remain fresh in the minds of Ghanaian music fans just like Lumba and Abrantie Amakye Dede.
Speaking recently at 5th edition of All Africa Music Awards lunch in Accra, Sarkodie maintained that the likes of Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede are able to charge high fees for shows because their works are still relevant in contemporary music.
Sark in his comment added that although these legends have failed in churning out songs in recent times, but their fans still connect to their quality songs produced years back.
"I want to end up like Daddy Lumba who won't sing the whole year, but can wake up any month and organize shows and will still take any amount that maybe I cannot charge. He still rocks big shows without any hit song," the SarkCess music boss said.
He also added that he will work hard and produce good songs that will make him be remembered among as a legend.
