Some prophets make public declarations about celebrities to get fame – Prophet Amoateng

- Many prophets have made death prophecies about only celebrities publicly

- Prophets Owusu Bempah, Nigel Gaisie, Cosmos Affran have prophesied the death of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Lilwin, others

- Prophet Daniel Amoateng said most of these prophets do this in order to make a name for themselves

Prophet Daniel Amoateng, founder and leader of Power of Worship international Church has said the rate at which some prophets are quick to make prophecies in public is uncalled for.

According to him, these pastors do this in order to make a name for themselves and become “superstars”.

This, he said, is not right because prophecies are supposed to be made in private and not public like has been the norm with some prophets now.

The simplest thing to do by wisdom is to talk to the celebrity after service, not to the whole congregation.”

“When I see something during service, I’m not supposed to say it publicly. Yes, God showed it to me but I’ve to contact you privately to give you the information and pray with you concerning the prophecy so that everything will be well.”

“John Dumelo and I are friend; we completed the same school so if I see something about him, should I wait for him to be at my church before I announce to the congregation in order to make a name for myself? Prophets are not supposed to be superstars,” Prophet Amoateng said.
