Ghana international Samuel Inkoom and wife Omega are already 12 years into their relationship. To mark the occassion, the defender has taken to social media to celebrate his wife.
Posting a photo of himself with his beautiful wife on Instagram, he captioned it"Happy 12 years anniversary to us my world my love for you is forever.”
Looking at the photo and the caption, one could not help but admire Inkoom for being such a good family man.
Many of Inkoom's fans did indeed show admiration and sent their congratulatory messages to the couple.
@sandrabannor said "Waooow beautiful. Congratulation congratulation may GOD continue to keep you . Beautiful woman be bless"
And @styled_by_sika wished them God's blessing "Happy anniversary daddy n Mami.....12yrs down...forever to go....God be with you"
@amesekofiGod also towed a similar line "bless you my brother no matter what God will help you"
But not all of the defender's followers just wanted to congratulate the couple as a few were concerned with Inkoom's age and the number of years he has been married though Inkoom's statement did not exactly say marriage and could well mean he was celebrating the anniversary of their entire relationship.
Born June 1, 1989, according to his official FIFA profile, Inkoom will be 29 years next week meaning he got married to his wife as a 16-year-old.
@dellarussel said"You married at age 16? Happy anniversary"
And @obiba_kojo was more sacarstic "u mean 12years..i guess u married her at age 16 ..u'll be 28 in june..ok bye!"
Samuel Inkoom is a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who shot to international prominence after helping Ghana's Under-20 national team, Black Satellites to win the FIFA World Cup in 2009.
After excelling in the tournament, Inkoom moved to FC Basel in Switzerland where he played for two years before being transferred to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine.
His career took a nosedive after moving to Ukraine and he has been struggling since that time.
Currently, he is clubless as he serves a FIFA ban handed to him for failing to pay an agent over a transfer back in 2014.
In June 2017, the former Ghana defender was ordered to pay Curtis Willet $65,000 or in default serve a one-year ban. Inkoom failed to pay the said money and he was banned by FIFA.
After failing to settle the agent within the last year, the case was opened again and the 29-year-old has been banned again for one year.
YEN.com.gh wishes the Inkooms a happy anniversary and blissful married life going forward.
