- Counselor Lutterodt has described men who think of marriage after landing their first good jobs as foolish
- The counselor stated that a man must earn around GHC40,000 before he can start thinking of marriage
A young man starting life must not be obsessed with getting married, relationship expert Counselor George Lutterodt has advised.
According to him, only a fool will think of marriage after he lands his first well-paying job.
“You are in your late 20s and by God’s grace you have gotten a good job and you start thinking of marriage. You are a big fool. You are an idiot. I am saying it, ” Counselor Lutterodt stated.
Counselor Lutterodt explained that it is not in the best interest of a man who marries without enough financial security.
For him, a young man must earn up to 40,000 cedis before thinking of marriage and any young man who does anything dieffrent “has foolishness in his heart.”
“Any man who gets a job and immediately marries will suffer in his marriage. Any man who marries at 30 will marry again,” he insisted.
Counselor Lutterodt made the statement while giving advice on a relationship programme.
When confronted with the fact that the case in point was about a guy whose girl had suffered with him for about four years and now wants to marry her after landing a good job, Counselor Lutterodt burst out loudly saying “if he has been with the lady for four years and so what? What an idiot!”
“So the lady wants to use four years to emotionally blackmail him. Four years and so what?” he asked, emphasising that “When you get a job, marriage is not the first thing to think about. There are better things to make."
