- The fashion icon was on TV Africa's breakfast show on Thursday morning
- It is not clear what standards he was judging these women by
The issue of fashion has always been a big topic everywhere. Ghana is no different. And that is why on Thursday morning, TV Africa spoke about Ghanaian fashion on their morning show.
The segment of the morning show was hosted by Nikki Samonas. Her guest was celebrated Ghanaian fashion and entertainment icon Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD).
The two discussed the influence of culture on our sense of fashion in Ghana. This led to KKD taking the bold decision to name five Ghanaian women he believes are the best dressed in Ghana.
The names he mentioned were ex-first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, former GJA president Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie and pastor Joyce Aryee. The other two are Nana Yaa Konadu of NAYAK Clothing and Akosua Rida, mother of model Afua Rida.
It is not clear if KKD wanted to name these people in any particular order. The host of the show also did not ask what criteria he was judging them by.
The fact that these are not popular names had some social media users frustrated. One Instagram user with username @adjy86, commented on blogger Zionfelix's post:
Damn I know only like one person on that whole list...
