Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako has rejected certain reports about the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi with regards to the upcoming Anas' video.
Kweku Baako said there is no truth to the claim that Nyantakyi said President Akufo-Addo was in his "pocket". Baako was speaking on Joy FM's Saturday morning show Newsfile.
The editor in chief lamented the effect of people claiming Nyantakyi said Akufo Addo is in his back pocket. He clarified that the issue of "pocket" is an interpretation of the people who have watched the video.
Kweku Baako is however sure that Mr Nyantakyi was involved in shady dealings. Baako also mentioned that the FA president used the names of the president and the vice president.
The FA boss has been the subject of a lot of controversy even before the issues of the week. his leadership of the football association has been criticised for lack of openness and even ineffectiveness.
After the arrest order from the president on Tuesday, the pressure on Mr Nyantakyi has increased by many folds. There are even calls for him to resign as FA president. However, the executive committee of the FA says he is still at post.
The video by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas is scheduled to be shown to the public on June 6. It is centred around football administration in Ghana.
