5 Ghanaians who may have seen Anas’ face

In the past few weeks, some Ghanaians have been gripped by fear, and others are in a highly expectant mood, following the intention of Tiger Eye PI to premier their latest investigative piece titled Number 12.

President Akufo-Addo called for the arrest of Ghana’s top football admistrator, Kwesi Nyantakyi, on the charges of defrauding under false pretense.

Even as investigations are underway, many Ghanaians appear to have lots of questions about Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his work.

Due to the nature of his work, the ace journalist disguises himself for security reasons. Without doubt, a few Ghanaians certainly know him by face.

1. The late Former President Professor John Evans Atta-Mills:

During his tenure as president of Ghana from January 2009 till July 2012, the late professor is reported to have once visited the Tema ports unannounced as as results of an investigative exercise by the Anas-led Tiger Eye PI team.

Without doubt, Anas' work would have drawn him closer to the presidency, and his close relations with the then president may not be in doubt.

2. Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor:

John Agyekum Kuffuor was president of Ghana from 2001 till 2008.

In the same period, Anas and his team investigates high profile cases such as the Eurofood Scandal (June 13, 2006), Soja Bar Prostitution (September 2007) and the Passport Scandal (April 2006).

These matters concerned Ghanaians and will have certainly attracted the attention of the then president.

3. Former President John Dramani Mahama:

YEN.com.gh reported that he begged Anas not to show videos of corrupt practices involving parliamentarians.

Without doubt, he may have interacted with the investigative journalist on a number of occasions. Some high profile cases publicized by Anas during his time as president were the Wild Ghana Project (September 2012) and the Messiah of Mentukwah (May 2013).

4. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo:

YEN.com.gh earlier reported Kwesi Nyanatakyi's arrest after President Akufo-Addo watched portions of Number 12, Anas' latest expose' to be premiered on June 6, 2018.

The level of interest expressed by the presidency is enough grounds to conclude the two gentlemen have met.
