The registration exercise for the Ghana card on May 28th turned out to be unsuccessful as registrants at the seat of the presidency, judiciary, and parliament got stranded at the stands which have no registration materials.
The nationwide registration was expected to start across the country on Monday, May 28th but as it stands now, it never happened.
This is the fifth time the National Identification Authority (NIA) has failed to have the registration for the Ghana cards. The National Identification Authority (NIA) has apologized to the Presidency and other institutions for its inability to issue the Ghana Card to on Monday.
Meanwhile, officials of the NIA have apologized to Ghanaians for what happened on Monday, May 29 and that the challenges were due to some “technical difficulties.”
“Every effort would be made to cover any lost time by deploying enough registration officials and equipment to undertake the exercise,” parts of the statement read.
