Drama erupted in the studios of Adom TV, when the Director of Communications at the Ghana Gas Company, Ernest Owusu-Bempah locked horns with the former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Upper Denkyira West, Ambrose Amoah-Ashyiah.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, May 25, 2018, was as a result of a televised discussion during Adom TV’s flagship programme ‘Badwam.’
It all started when the former DCE allegedly described Vice President Bawumia as a liar, a comment that didn’t go down well with Owusu Bempah.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia, while in opposition, peddled falsehoods about the economy.
This, he added, was compounded by the fact that the government has constantly failed to meet its targets, despite claims that it has the solutions to Ghana’s economic challenges.
“Our economy is in tatters and instead of the NPP government fixing it, they are only lying to us about the state of the economy led by Bawumia or better still call him ‘Bawu-liar’.
They are mismanaging the economy. They have no idea of how to lead this country, ” he said.
This did not go down well with Owusu Bempah who asked him to retract his statement.
Before a response could come forth, he went ahead to describe Amoah-Ashyiah as being high on Indian Hemp and Tramadol.
The two gentlemen continued attacking each other despite several interventions from the host, Omanhene Kwabena Asante.
Producers of the live show were forced to take off the show to end the program after the continuous exchanges between the two men.
