Information reaching YEN.com.gh suggests that the Managing Director of Obengfo Hospital, the Advanced Body Sculpt Centre, Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh has collapsed at the Nima police station.
Dr Obeng-Andoh was arrested in connection with the death of death of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP), Stacy Offei Darko.
According to reports, Dr Obeng-Andoh has been rushed to the Police Hospital for medical attention.
The Obengfo Hospital MD, MyNewsGh.com reported, had demanded he be made to see his personal doctor but he was rather sent to the Police Hospital.
Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh was arrested on Tuesday morning following the death of Stacy Darko at the hospital last week through a suspected case of medical negligence.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, the mother of the victim, Nana Akosua Animah said her 37-year-old daughter fell ill and sought medical attention at the Obengfo Hospital.
Her attempts to reach her daughter proved futile and she found directions to the hospital to check on her.
When she got the Dr Obeng-Andoh told Madam Anima that her daughter had died and that her body had been deposited at the morgue.
Dissatisfied with the circumstances leading to Stacy's death, Madam Anima lodged a complaint with the police leading to the arrest of Dr Obeng-Andoh.
Also arrested is the cleaner who signed on behalf of the family to put the body in the morgue and two nurses who were on duty at the hospital.
