A fresh student with Ghana Secondary School (GHANASS) has been arrested after attacking the Effiduasi Police Station with a cutlass.
Joshua Sarfo Korkpatey, who is just 19-years-old, had earlier been suspended indefinitely by authorities of the school who caught him staling mattresses in the school.
Eastern regional PRO of the Ghana police service, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh has been narrating this incident to the media.
According to him, the student stormed the Effiduasi police station very furious with a metal bar and a locally manufactured pistol with one round of A.A Cartridge in the chamber. The angry student then threatened to kill the investigator who was overseeing the case.
“Police will take further action after a thorough mental examination on the suspect,” ASP Tetteh added.
So far, it remains unknown how this development could have happened and even how the student was able to wield all these weapons.
