- Kweku Baako has responded to questions about the relationship between Anas and the widow of J.B. Danquah-Adu
- His response follows claims from Kennedy Agyapong suggesting he had pictures of Anas and Mrs Danquah-Adu together and that Anas knew her long before her husband died
Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has revealed the relationship between his protégé, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the wife of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah-Adu.
According to Baako, Anas and Ivy, as the late MP's widow is known, were just classmates who had not been in any inappropriate relationship.
Kweku Baako's revelation comes after MP for Assin Central Constituency, the controversial Kennedy Agyapong questioned what kind of relationship Anas had with J.B. Danquah-Adu's widow in an interview on Asempa FM on Monday.
“If he dares me, I will ask him if he knows Ivy, JB’s wife, and for how long…I will show him pictures from UK and Dubai…I am challenging Anas…,” he said.
Ken Agyapong repeated his claims on NET 2 TV on Wednesday morning as he launched more attacks on Anas and even released photos of a man purported to be him.
But speaking on of Peace FM 'Kokoroko' later in the morning, Kweku Baako revealed that Ivy and Anas were schoolmates at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
“There is another which I find difficult but I must say…there is even an attempt to link Anas to the wife of the J.B Danquah and you ask what the consequence of that linkage is? First of all, they were schoolmates from GIJ hope you know about it?"
On the supposed photos of Anas and Ivy found in London, Baako stated that the two had not travelled together as being suggested but only met at the place in the company of another friend.
"There is a talk of a London that he might have travelled with the lady. No! Akwasi Sarpong from BBC who is a mate to Anas all congregated because they met at the same place,” Baako explained.
