- NPP MP Kennedy Agyapong claims Anas knows something about the death of J.B. Danquah-Adu
- The MP says he will soon call for Anas' arrest over the murder
- He also claims J.B. Danquah's wife moved into Anas' apartment not long after her husband's death
Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has followed up his insinuations of an amorous relationship between J.B. Danquah's wife widow and investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas with a more stunning accusation.
The Assin Central MP has stated that he suspects Anas had a hand in the murder of J.B. Danquah-Adu and will soon be calling for his arrest.
Ken Agyapong's suspicion, he claims, is based on concrete information he has gathered concerning Anas and J.B. Danquah's widow, Ivy Heward-Mills.
The controversial MP thus warned those attacking him over his allegations of a relationship the two to stop because they (attackers) were not privy to the information he has.
"I learnt someone has said on your programme (Focal Sports) that I don't deserve to bear the title honourable because I accused Anas of having an affair with the late J.B. Danquah's wife. If the journalist dares me, I will even say Anas is responsible for J.B. Danquah's death.
“I will cause his arrest. They should arrest him and I will ask the widow that when her husband died, how many days did it take her before relocating to Anas’ apartment? You don’t know the information I have, nobody should push me, I’m going step by step," he is reported by AshesGyamera.com to have told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
It will be recalled that J.B. Danquah-Adu murdered on February 9, 2016, by some armed people who made their way into his room in his Shiashie residence in Accra.
Although, Daniel Asiedu, 19, was immediately arrested in connection with the murder has been on trial from that time, Kennedy Agyapong is roping in Anas into the murder as he battles the journalist.
The Assin Central MP has been on a mission to destroy Anas over his 'Number 12' exposé excerpts of which have led to the arrest of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi for soliciting bribes with President Nana Akufo-Addo's name.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Anas methods of conducting investigations were unfair and self-serving and he has made a lot of allegations against the award-winning journalist.
Among the many accusations is Ken Agyapong's claim of an amorous relationship between Anas the late MP's wife.
Anas' mentor Kweku Baako has come out to deny Ken Agyapong's claims explaining that the only relationship between the two was that they were schoolmates at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
But he Assin Central MP insists that the information he possesses about Anas say otherwise saying"I don’t have problem with you or anyone if you have problem with me because you don’t know what I have in my possession with regards to Anas."
