Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, says the reason for wearing his mysterious mask is not just to protect his image but also against villains who might want to end his life
Addressing an audience of journalists at the second National Media Festival Organized by the Press Foundation in Accra, Anas also took the opportunity to debunk claims that he was only interested in tarnishing the image of his targets. Anas explains that his "kind of journalism is extreme".
The journalist has been in the news lately following his "Number 12" investigative piece which will be aired on June 6th. But just before premiering of# the video, Anas has faced a stiff backlash from a maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong, who has committed to unveiling the real face of the journalist.
"Who is says it is enjoyable to be standing before you wearing a mask. I would have loved to remove it, walked with my face and even spoken to you with my true identity," he revealed.
The 'Number 12' investigative piece which airs on June 6th, will reveal to Ghanaians how serious corruption practices at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been.
So far, the president has watched what many say to be a 5-minute portion of the entire video hence calling for the immediate arrest of the GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
