There was drama and controversy during Saturday’s Golden Movie Awards when Rosemond Brown knelt to apologise to Moesha Bodoung on the red carpet.
The 2018 Golden Movie Awards came off at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, with a host of celebrities making their way to the event.
The awards ceremony brought together actors, actresses and filmmakers from across Africa to be honoured for their outstanding performances in the year under review.
However, just before the main event started, there was a moment of drama when actress Rosemond Brown walked to the red carpet to apologise to Moesha for certain comments she made about her.
Rosemond went on her knees, as she begged Moesha to let bygones be bygones – a move which created a scene at the awards ceremony.
A photo of Rosemond kneeling to beg Moesha quickly spread on the internet, with many Ghanaians sharing their opinion on the matter.
Whiles some understood the actress for taking such an action, others branded her an attention-seeker, insisting she could have apologised to Moesha in private rather than do it openly.
Reports suggest that Rosemond Brown rendered the apology due to certain utterances she made about Moesha following the latter’s controversial interview with CNN.
Moesha became the object of scrutiny when she suggested that Ghanaian women need to depend on rich men if they are to be successful.
She was heavily criticized for her utterances, which led to the actress later rendering an unqualified apology to the public.
It is believed that Rosemond Brown also directed some unsavoury words at Moesha, which has now led her to apologise to her colleague actress.
Meanwhile, Moesha Boduong was given the honour of hosting the red-carpet session of the 2018 Golden Movie Awards.
In her first public outing since that infamous interview granted to CNN two months ago, Moesha co-hosted hosted the red carpet of the 2018 Golden Movie Awards with Jessica Larny.
