- Anas Aremeyaw Anas has released a video which shows an unknown person with a whitish substance believed to be cocaine
- Some people has concluded that it is an indirect 'attack' on lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong
Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has released a video which shows a whitish substance alleged to be cocaine.
According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, social media users were quick to conclude that the video was an indirect jab at the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
The lawmaker has reportedly claimed that he will also release a video which paints Anas a person with a dubious character.
This, he said, will be his reaction if Anas goes ahead to release the video of his latest investigative piece titled Number 12.
At the moment, the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is being investigated with respect to the tape.
This follows a call by President Akufo-Addo for such an action, and the football administrator is currently being charged with defrauding under false pretences.
So far, four people are alleged to have accused the MP of being involved in the cocaine.
The first was Afia Schwarzenegger, whose comments came in after Kennedy Agyapong has referred to her as a harlot.
In February 2016, Kennedy Agyapong threatened to get Ato Kwamina Dadzie sacked from Multimedia for accusing him of trafficking and using drugs.
Again on Adom TV’s Badwam, Kofi Adams of the NDC and Kennedy Agyapong went at each other with the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) calling Kennedy Agyapong a drug dealer.
In 2014, a publication sourced by The Al-Hajj newspaper indicated that the British intelligence services including both the MI5 and MI6 have directed their investigative radar on Kennedy Agyapong, over what sources said his involvement in an illicit drug case.
