- Kennedy Agyapong has denied ever releasing and publishing Patrick Marcelino’s photos as Anas
- The MP says Anas and his people deliberately released Marcelino's photos to confuse the public
The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has denied ever releasing Brazilian model, Patrick Marcelino’s photos to the media in a bid to unmask Ace Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
According to the MP, he is not the source of Patrick Marcelino’s images released and published by the media and on various social media platforms as Anas’ photos.
The Dutch-Brazilian model who has threatened to deal with the NPP MP, had his photos published as Anas by Ghanaian media following threats by the lawmaker to unmask Anas, whom he has described as “evil, corrupt, wicked, thief, and blackmailer.”
The move has upset the international model, and has threatened to take all the necessary “legal steps” to remedy the “very bad situation” he said the Ghanaian lawmaker had put him through.
Patrick Marcelino who is clearly not happy in a Facebook live video has threatened to deal with the Ghanaian MP over what he described as an ‘identity theft’.
However, speaking on Adom FM on Monday, Kennedy Agyapong insisted that Patrick Marcelino’s photos were released by Anas to create chaos and confuse the public as part of his efforts to conceal his true identity.
The MP maintained that he has no idea how Marcelino’s images went viral on various social media platforms after splashing the true photos of Anas.
“I didn’t release that picture; it is Anas who released that picture. I released two of Anas’ pictures. In one he was wearing a hat and in the other he had a beard. The picture I released of him in a hat was when he was negotiating with a state attorney to kill a case,” Mr Agyapong alleged.
The NPP MP who has locked horns with Anas over the premier of his latest undercover video has also vowed to expose him as a corrupt journalist who takes bribe to kill stories and entraps his victims to tarnish their image.
Anas’ latest exposé which is set for public screening on Wednesday June 6, has so far indicted the President of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi.
