- NPP's Chairman Wontumi has disclosed his terrible experience with Anas Aremeyaw Anas
- Wontumi says Anas works for Former President Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama
Another top ranking member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has tagged Ace investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, as the most corrupt media practitioner he has ever known.
According to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, he once came face-to-face with Anas and pulled gun on him due to his corrupt nature.
In a video teaser posted by Adom TV's social media handle, Chairman Wontumi was seen accusing Anas of doctoring interviews with people allegedly caught on tape in exchange of money.
To him, the much respected Ghanaian journalist is more ‘corrupt’ than the “saviour” people perceive him to be.
Chairman Wontumi in his wild accusations, further alleged that Anas works for Former President Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
“I don’t know Anas in NPP; I know Anas to be a Mahama Boy. He works for the NDC. He is a very corrupt guy and very soon I will come out. I once pulled a gun on him,” he said.
Wontumi also added that, “If you take his tapes to the lab, you can detect they have been cut and some taken out; that is what will make you know he is a liar.”
The NPP’s Wontumi appears to be 'singing' from the same hymn book as his party colleague, Kennedy Agyapong who has been on a crusade to “expose” the journalist.
Mr Agyapong on Monday revealed on Adom FM’s morning show that he [Anas] had tried to “blackmail” Chairman Wontumi a number of times but failed.
“Who wanted to set up chairman Wontumi; he tried setting Wontumi up with some women,” Mr Agyapong alleged.
The full interview on Adom TV’s Badwam show will air on Tuesday, April 5 at 7:30 am.
