- Madam Anita De-SoSo has come out to deny bleaching allegation levelled against her
- According to the NDC former Women’s Organizer, it was due to the work of the Holy Ghost anointing working on her skin
National Vice Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam Anita De-Soso, has debunked claims that she is bleaching her skin.
The 58-year-old has been in the news this week after NDC founder, Jerry John Rawlings, accused her of bleaching her skin.
Speaking at the 39th anniversary of the June 4th uprising ceremony held in Accra on Monday, Rawlings said Madam Desoso is getting “too fair”.
"She is getting too fair. Let us stop using that soap because it is bad. She said I am his father and so let me tell her what I want to say,” the former president stated.
This was after the former NDC Women’s Organiser knelt before Rawlings to plead with him to forgive all members of the party who have offended him.
But reacting to the trolls that have come her way since Rawlings said she has bleached, Madam Desoso said she has not altered her skin colour.
She went on to joke that the former president made have been influenced by the Holy Ghost to see her in such a manner.
“...maybe it was due to the Holy Ghost anointing working at that place that made the founder to see me so special,” she told Accra-based Okay FM.
She added that although Rawlinsg looked away whiles she was apologizing, she is convinced that the NDC founder accepted her apology.
“I believe my action was ordained from God because he [Mr. Rawlings] accepted my apology even though he was looking elsewhere but at the end of the day, my kneeling down and begging worked. It is normal for a father who is hurt by his children to look elsewhere while his children apologise to him but it does not mean he has not accepted the apology,” she said.
