President Nana Akufo-Addo has sacked the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) company, Alfred Obeng Boateng.
The sacking, YEN.com.gh understands, takes immediate effect.
It is not known what triggered President Akufo-Addo's decision to sack Mr Obeng Boateng.
He is to be replaced by George Mensah Okley.
"As part of restructuring of Parastatal companies and agencies, the president has decided to terminate the appointment of Mr. Alfred Obeng as the Managing Director of BOST and to appoint Mr. George Mensah Okley as the New MD," the sack letter signed by Secretary to the President, Asante Bediatuo said.
Mr Obeng Boateng's sacking will not come as a surprise to many who have been observing developments at BOST.
Since he took took over as BOST MD in 2017, Obeng Boateng has been dealing with a lot of scandals.
It will be recalled that in his early days as the BOST MD, there were agitations for him to resign following news that BOST had sold 5 million litres of contaminated fuel to two unlicensed companies, Zup Oil and Movenpiina Oil.
