Kwesi Nyantakyi, the GFA president, pledged to give GHc20,000 to anyone who exposed corruption in Ghana football, YEN.com.gh can report.
Nyantakyi made the pledge sometime ago in the company of GFA spokesman, Ibrahim Sanni Daara, and other executives of the association.
This episode was captured in the Anas No. 12 video which screened at the Accra International Conference Centre on Wednesday.
Nyatakyi's offer aimed at encouraging people who had evidence of corruption among referees and other football administrators in the country to come forward.
It followed allegations by concerned Ghanaians that corruption was destroying the local game.
Portraying the GFA as concerned and interested in fighting corruption, Nyantakyi said the association would reward only people who came forward with evidence, and not people making mere allegations.
The remarks have drawn renewed interest and gained new significance, following the airing of the Anas video, which clearly implicated Nyantakyi and dozens of other football officials in the country in corrupt dealings that were inimical to football development in the country.
While several referees were caught on video receiving bribes to throw matches, other officials were caught receiving money in exchange for facilitating the invitation of certain players into the national team.
Some officials at the National Sports Authority were also captured on video receiving bribes to arrange visas under false pretenses for members of the public.
For his part, Nyantakyi was caught on video scheming to pocket up to 25% of sponsorship money for the Ghana Premier League, in stark contravention of GFA rules.
The explosive nature of the video and overwhelming nature of the evidence has prompted some Ghanaians to question whether Nyantakyi and the GFA will fulfill promise to give GHc20,000 to anyone who exposes corruption in Ghana football.
Should the GFA choose to honour their promise, Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team will be entitled to GHc20,000.
