Number 12: Nyantakyi did no wrong – Bernard Mornah

- A politician, Bernard Mornah, has stated that Kwesi Nyantakyi is innocent of charges levelled against him

- He allegedly stated this after watching Number 12, the latest investigative work by Anas Aremeyaw Anas

The National Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has jumped to the defense of the beleaguered president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.

He is reported to have claimed that Nyantakyi had nothing to do with the cases of bribery and corruption that have been discovered with respect to football in Ghana.

In that regard, he went on, it is misplaced to argue that the sports administrator should resign.

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, Ghanaians thronged the premises of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) to catch a glimpse of the latest expose’ by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Titled Number 12, the video depicted acts of bribery and corruption, with some prominent sports personalities captured on tape.

The GFA president was allegedly seen in the video bragging to some people that he could grant them access to the presidency.

Meanwhile, Nyantakyi is currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) with respect to the tape.
