- Vera Ribeiro urges Portugal players to masturbate during the World Cup
- The $ex therapist says the self-love made demonstration will relief stress
- Portugal recorded a commanding 3-0 victory against Algeria last night
Sex therapist and wife of Portugal goalkeeper Vera Ribiero has urged her husband Rui Patricio and his team mates to masturbate to help them win the World Cup.
Ribiero believes the European champions will have a better chance of adding a world title to the trophy cabinet if they practice a little self-made love.
The psychologist, who specialises in sex, says that players who help themselves ejaculate will be more relaxed and less stressed than those who abstain.
In Dr Ribiero's book “Manuel of Seduction” she argues that regular hand relief is invaluable to relieve stress.
The book states that “nothing positive can come from abstinence.”
She told Portuguese TV: “The football player should not abstain from having Sex before games, but we also know that in terms of routine they are not in contact with families either.
“We cannot associate sports performance with the occurrence of sex.”
Patricio will be in goal for Portugal at the World Cup as the team will be looking to emulate their Iberian neighbours in Spain by winning back to back competitions.
Ronaldo led his teammates to a 3-0 victory over Algeria last night in their final World Cup warm up game before the tournament.
The Selecao's first match will come up against neighours Spain on June, 15, and take on Morocco and Iran in their other group matches.
