Mzbel believes all Ghanaian politicians are the same, only caring about power

- Mzbel lamented that politicians are responsible for the divisions among people

- She confirmed a message from former president, John Mahama, wishing her well

Belinda Nana Akua, known in showbiz as Mzbel, has spoken out against the culture of politicians pretending to be enemies before the people. According to the musician, all politicians regardless of party, actually belong to one social class.

She was speaking to Accra-based Hitz FM. Mzbel said that she has come to realise that most of the top politicians are friends behind closed doors. She lamented how differences in ideas drove them apart in the face of Ghanaians.

She expressed concern about how the supporters of the political parties have taken to believing the supposed division. Mzbel was concerned with how politicians contributed to this.

A few weeks ago, the "Sweet 16" hit maker posted on Facebook, the visit of some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to her house. She had been involved in a motor accident and they were there to wish her well.

Mzbel has in the past sworn allegiance to NPP's biggest opponents, the National Democratic Congress (NDC). But the silence of her party friends got her to slam their lack of support and hail the NPP's.

But in the interview with Hitz, Mzbel mentioned that since her Facebook post, some members of the NDC have reached out to her.

She even mentioned getting message from former Ghana president, John Mahama, wishing her a speedy recovery.

She chose the platform to encourage Ghanaians to not be split violently on party lines.
