Nigeria’s national team has arrived in Russia ahead of the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Eagles touched down at the Mineralnye Vody International Airport on Monday night as they prepare to for their opening fixture.
The West Africans are paired in Group D, together with Croatia, Argentina and debutants Iceland.
John Mikel Obi and Co. will play their tournament opener against Croatia on Saturday, June 16.
Gernot Rohr’s team is one of the most fancied sides in this year’s World Cup, having earned many admirers for their colourful kits.
The team landed in Russia in cheerful mood, whiles neatly dressed in matched white attire displaying their national colours.
However, Nigeria would be worried about their form going into the tournament, with the country winning none of their friendlies.
In fact, the last time the Super Eagles won a game was in March, when they beat Poland in an international friendly.
The three-time African champions will be based at the Sanatorium Istochnik hotel while they will prepare for their matches at the Essentuki arena.
The Super Eagles will face the Croats on Saturday the Kaliningrad Stadium (8.00pm in Nigeria).
