- The Vice President of MUSIGA, Bessa Simons, has asked Anas Aremeyaw Anas to conduct investigations into the affairs of the union
- According to him, Anas may not the results he may be hoping for
- He added that MUSIGA may even be applauded after investigations are complete
The Vice President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has dared investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas to conduct investigations into their affairs.
According to him, Anas will find no trace of corruption in the union, if he decides to embark on such a project.
Speaking to DJ Premier on Accra 100.5FM’s Entertainment Capital, he said that “Anas should try an investigation at MUSIGA.
Apart from the fact that he may be wasting his time, there is no money at MUSIGHA, there’s no money there. Who is going to take bribe?
The person you are going to take bribe from wants money from you.”
He explained that Anas will merely be wasting money if he attempts such a task.
YEN.com.gh understands that there have been rumours of possible mismanagement and embezzlement of funds at MUSIGA, but none has been proven till date.
In the 2012 budget report read on November 2011, the government allotted GHc2 million to MUSIGA.
The president of the union, Bice Osei Kuffuor, better known as Obour, has been under intense criticism with respect to the money provided by the government.
Simons however insists that people will be disappointed should Anas conduct investigations into the affairs of MUSIGA.
He expressed conviction that Ghanaians will rather applaud the union after the findings of the investigation are made public.
