- A blind man has wowed many social media users with his coconut selling skills
- He was seen using a sharp cutlass to dissect a coconut for one of his many customers
An elderly visually-impaired man has warmed the hearts of many Ghanaians on social media with his ability to sell coconut and dissect it expertly with a sharp cutlass – without the use of his eyes.
In a video spotted on social media site Facebook, the elderly man wowed bystanders with his craftsmanship as he carried out his job with finesse.
A lady who was standing behind the visually-impaired could not help but open her mouth wide in awe and looked quite surprised at the way a man with no sight could be so daring to carry out such a task.

The blind man was seen interacting with some of his clients and even went ahead to satisfy them by making sure they enjoyed his coconuts with ease.
The video which was posted by social media user Florent Jayb, captioned it, “I never believed the blind can sell Coconut. This coconut seller needs accommodation and a better setup for his coconut business. You can inbox Afi Antonio if you're touched to help him. Call or text her on +233 206 037 620. Thank You.”
In a country like Ghana where unemployment continues to rise unabated, the blind coconut seller would serve as an inspiration to many people to also start their own trade or put their talents to good use which would earn them some income.
According to the social media user who posted the video, the wife of the coconut seller sells fried yam by his side in order to help the family raise enough money to get a roof over their heads.
In the face of many challenges including not having a roof over his head, the visually-impaired coconut seller has not given up on his determination to make ends meet.
