Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that a gang of armed robbers have attacked six houses in the New Juaben Municipality in the Eastern Region.
They reportedly abused their victims and robbed them of their belongings. Armed with pump action guns, a hammer, a pinch bar and a cutlass, they raided the homes of the victims within a period of one and a half hours.
The incident occurred around the Koforidua Technical Institute(KOTECH) on the dawn of Thursday, June 14, 2018 and items taken included monies, mobile phones and laptops.
YEN.com.gh understands that the victims include a Second Minister of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in the Adweso-SDA School area.
On the same morning, a 41-year old man, Elvis Kotey reported to the Effiduase District Police Command that about 1:20am he was at home with his family when a group of young men numbering about four all wearing face mask wielding pump action gun, hammer and cutlass forceful broke into his four-bedroom house.
They made away with two 32inches hi-thermal cool plasma TVs, One Dell laptop, sound system, one galaxy A5 phone, one Samsung 7edge and cash the sum of $100.
According to him, the robbers scaled over the wall, caused damage to the main door, entered and at gunpoint robbed the occupants.
Police investigators who visited the crime scene retrieved a kitchen knife believed to belong to the suspected armed robbers.
