Champions League winners Real Madrid have completed a €54m move for highly-rated Santos striker Rodrygo, suggest reports coming out of the South American nation
The 17-year-old youngster made nine appearances’ for the Santos seniors side the in Brazilian topflight last term, netting five goals while creating two assists.
A Santos official twitter handle tweet as well as leaks from respected Spain’s news outlet, Mundo Deportivo revealed that Rodrygo’s switch will be made public by Santo’s at the Business Centre in Sao Paulo on Friday.
The youngster’s deal with the Galaticos is expected to expire in the summer of 2025, but will not join the club till then too.
A further breakdown of the deal revealed that the Los Blancos coughed out €54m transfer fee, with the balance of €40m expected to take care of the striker’s 80 percent rights.
The Brazilian U-20 national team player was elevated from the Under-17 side, after showing great form in netting three goals in four appearances.
Already, Champions league finalists, Liverpool were mooting over deal for the talented goals poacher before Real Madrid signed-off the switch to Santiago Bernabéu.
Real are also reportedly in the market for Brazilian superstar Neymar.
The Brazilian made a world record transfer move to Paris-Saint-Germain from Barcelona last year August, and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since January 2018.
There are even reports that the Spanish club have met his father for him to help them convince his son to leave France for a return to Spain.
