President Akufo-Addo interacts with Otumfuo, Okyenhene

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Saturday, June 16, held a meeting with Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Okyenhene Osaagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The meeting was held ahead of the Head of State International Golf Invitational Tournament Awards Dinner.

The two monarchs as part of the ceremony opened the golf tournament in Kumasi.

President Nana Addo who was spotted in a photograph with the Asantehene and the Okyenhene was excited to be part of the ceremony.

Nana Addo shortly after the event took to his Facebook page to write, “On Saturday, 16 June 2018, I interacted with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Okyenhene, Osaagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, at the Manhyia Palace, ahead of the Head of State International Golf Invitational Tournament Awards Dinner.”

The photo shoots which features the Asantehen and the Okyenhene, together with the President appears to have warm the hearts of many on various social media platforms.

The meeting, many say have cleared doubts in the minds of many Ghanaians on the alleged rift between the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll and the Okyenhene, Amoatia Ofori Panin ll on Ghana’s chieftaincy system.
