- Countryman Songo is back on the Adom FM airwaves
- Songo has been off air for quite awhile now after comments he made against the GFA
- The sports presenter started his show with tunes of jubilation
Countryman Songo has returned to the screens on Adom TV after a long break. The sports presenter made an epic move on the screens of TV as he started the program with jubilant Gospel tunes.
Songo expressed satisfaction over the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as he 'thanked' Anas Aremeyaw Anas for the bold step to reveal the corrupt practice in the association.
YEN.com.gh earlier sighted a post on social media which hints that Countryman Songo would be returning to the screens soon.
The post was sighted on the Facebook page of a Multimedia sports Journalist, Gary Al-Smith. Gary posted what looks like a banner showing the time ‘Fire for Fire’ would be aired with Songo as the host.
Songo was earlier kicked out from the airwaves of the Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) where Adom FM and TV is stationed after blasting Nyantakyi and the GFA for claims of corruption; 'Sika Die'.
During those moments that Nyantakyi was president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the TV show host got slapped with various suits including a GH¢250,000 settlement claim Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) tried reaching with Nyantakyi in place of a GH¢2m libel suit he filed against MGL and Songo as well as Kofi Asare Brako (alias Abatay, a former MGL staffer now at Atinka FM).
But it seemed Songo knew what exactly was happening in the GFA, hence his decision to bite even harder thus resulting in another major suit which later on led to him being shown the exit doors.
The celebrated sports presenter was vindicated after the premiering of Number 12 by Anas Aremeyaw Anas which revealed cases of rot within the GFA.With his white attire and the choice for jubilant tunes, it is clear that Songo is currently the happiest man in Ghana.
