Ghana’s record signing company, Zylofon Media has disclosed that it has invested millions of cedis into Ghana’s showbiz industry in its effort to make the industry more vibrant.
According to the Director of Communication for Zylofon Arts Fund, Frank Kwabena Owusu, the company has spent in excesses of GhS 1,700,000.00 into the Ghana movie industry alone.
Speaking at the launch of the maiden edition of Ghana International Film Week, Mr Owusu noted that Zylofon Arts Fund is a non-governmental organization which mobilizes funding for the creative arts industry as part of its operations.
The Communications Director in his address noted that management of Zylofon have turned their attention to the film industry in all efforts to make it more attractive.
In view of this, the company has voted out Gh¢25,000.00 worth of gold coins yearly,
as a sponsorship package which will be given to veterans in the Ghanaian film industry.
"We believe this will go a long way to put an insurable mark in the minds of our veteran actors and actresses who are out of business now because of their age and health issues in order to let them feel a sense belonging towards the industry," Attractivemustapha.com report quoted.
Frank Owusu, in his conversation added that Zylofon Arts Fund will as well add a citation to the gold coin as their way of commitment and service to the nation as a symbol for generations to come.
Meanwhile, the organizers of Ghana Film Week, have confirmed that the Zylofon Arts Fund sponsorship package will last for a period of five years.
