Gyamaana is a disabled woman who lives in the Upper West region of Ghana. At the age of four years, she lost the ability to use her legs as a result of an injection she received.
This was because she fell sick and for that reason needed urgent medical attention.
This caused her legs to grow weaker until she eventually lost her ability to use them.
Gyamaana is a seamstress, but faces challenges in her trade because she neither has a wheelchair to move around or a sewing machine to work with.
Single and childless, she called on her family members to assist her, but that was not to be.
YEN.com.gh understands that she often received help from an unidentified man, but that is no longer the case, as he doesn’t come to her aid anymore.
