'Freed' cocaine lady Nayele Ametefe set to reveal names of accomplices?

- Drug baroness Nayele Ametefe has been released on parole after serving three years of her eight-year jail term in the UK

- Nayele has reportedly vowed to mention the names of the 'big men' who allegedly sent her

- Nayele is said to be angry because after keeping her mouth shut during her trial, those 'big men' who allegedly sent her failed to secure her properties

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Ghanaian drug trafficker Nayele Ametefe or Ruby Gyimah who was handed an eight year and eight months jail term in the United Kingdom in 2015 has been released.

The release, YEN.com.gh understands, was as a result of Nayele's good behaviour since her time in jail.

One would have thought that Nayele would remain quiet after her parole release but reports making round suggest otherwise.

According to reports, Nayele may well expose the big men who used her as a drug courier that led to her arrest and subsequent conviction.

Nayele Ametefe was arrested in November 2014, at London's Heathrow Airport with 12 kilogrammes of cocaine worth 1.8 million pounds at the time which she intended to take to the Dominican Republic.

It was later realised that though Nayele was travelling on an Austrian passport, she also had a Ghanaian passport and had actually used the VIP section of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) while going to the UK because she also allegedly had a diplomatic passport.

This development brought up questions as to how well connected Nayele was in the corridors of power and who may have been behind her.

Her links to the powers be were confirmed during her trial when her lawyer reportedly stated in court “Nayele came into contact with powerful people in 2004 and her life changed dramatically. She travelled extensively with influential people as their companion and has remained connected to powerful people in authority who are currently (2015) in power in Ghana.”

It had been expected that Nayele would have cut a deal and given up the 'bigger fishes' in order to avoid being sentenced but she kept her mouth shut maintaining that she was acting alone.

Nayele, MyNewsGH has reported, only kept quiet with the understanding that the 'big men' would help protect her interests including her properties.

But since those properties have been confiscated, the ex-convict has vowed to release the names of her senders.

According to the report, a source close to her lawyer has stated that Nayele is still “holding her cool” and observing parole rules while hoping “the big men will keep their words because she has lost almost everything.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh has a rare photo of Nayele Ametefe after she was released from jail in the UK.
