Former England and football icon David Beckham has tipped Three Lions to go all the way and meet Lionel Messi's Argentina in the World Cup 2018 Russia finals.
Albiceleste, have had a long history with England and Beckham is all than more aware of their past encounters, having played a pivotal role during his tenure as a Three Lions player.
According to Sky Sports, Beckham admitted that his decision was biased and said his loyalty to his country overruled all logic.
"I believe Argentina will play against England in the final," Beckham said at a promotional event showcasing China's largest collegiate football league.
"I think obviously my choice would be England to win the competition, but that's me being biased and passionate about my country," he went on to say.
Beckham made his prediction following England's late win against Tunisia on Monday, June 18, that was formerly reported by TUKO.co.ke.
"England is a very young team, they don't have a lot of experience yet and the journey of the World Cup will become harder and harder because they are many good teams in the tournament," the former skipper observed.
The ex-Manchester United legend was dramatically red-carded in their last 16 defeat to Argentina in the France 1998 World Cup.
However, the former skipper earned reprieve through his game winning penalty against Albiceleste at the 2002 World Cup.
