The Ashanti regional police command has arrested an 18-year-old carpenter, Charles Mensah.
YEN.com.gh understands that together with three others, he has been terrorizing motorists at Ayeduase, a suburb of Kumasi.
According to sources, Mensah was arrested after the police followed him to the Kumasi Abbatoir area, popularly referred to as Mayanka.
This was after they had received a tip-off on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Three other suspects whose names have been withheld, are currently on the run.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the regional police service, ASP Juliana Obeng said Mensah hails from Sogakope but resides in Kumasi.
She added that he has been on the radar of the police for a long time now, but has been evasive.
Upon his arres, an Italian-made pistol and its accessories were found on him.
