Controversial Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale, has over the years made media headlines for the wrong reasons.

The musician is noted to be one of ‘loudest’ Ghanaian artiste, apart from his controversial nature, and also his public smoking attitude.

Shatta Wale, who began the year 2018 with controversies seem to be ending the year with the same tag.

The musician just after settling his long ‘beef’ with organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Chaterhouse this year, launched an unwarranted attack on Nigerian superstar, Wizkid.

The dancehall artiste, also continued his usual unjustified media attacks on the Bhim Nation President, and his closest industry rival, Stonebwoy, although he was called to order by many entertainment pundits.

The musician also made infamous media headlines after firing a gun openly, and also threatening to burn a Church building of a Kasoa-based self-acclaimed Prophet.

As if that was not enough, the Shatta Movement boss together with his ‘baby mama’, Michy also took over social media with their relationship break up brouhaha after losing the 2018 top VGMA award to the late, Ebony.

Although many fans of the artiste are yet to see an end to their relationship matters, the dancehall artiste got himself caught up in another media controversy for allegedly sleeping with another woman.

However, the nastiest among all the controversies which is hanging around the neck of Shatta Wale today, is leaking his own adult video on his Snapchat page.

Shatta Wale has this week received heavy bashing on various social media platforms for leaking a video with a woman performing sexual act on him together with one other.

The outspoken dancehall artiste, who is said to be a personal friend to the President of the Republic, Akufo-Addo on October, 2017 received a special invitation on his birthday to visit the presidency.

In view of this, many social media users and advocates are calling on President Akufo-Addo to unfollow Shatta Wale on all social media pages in a way of registering his displeasure at his latest act, which has been widely condemned.

With this disapproval from the President Nana Addo, many believe could help check the recent conduct of the SM boss and also whip him in line.

Below are some reasons many think Nana Addo must unfollow Shatta Wale on all social media platforms.

1. Shatta Wale is not a good example to the youth

Many critics have argued that Shatta Wale can't qualify to serve as a good role model to the ordinary Ghanaian youth.

2. Shatta Wale’s brand doesn’t reflect the presidency

Some social media users who are not happy say Shatta Wale's brand does not reflect the ideals of the seat of government.

3. Shatta Wale’s brand is riddled with negative publicity

Some industry watchers believe that the whole brand of the dancehall artiste is has seen many more negative media publicity.

4. Shatta Wale’s brand doesn't appeal to the middle class

There some others who argue that the brand Shatta Wale only appeals to the younger generation, therefore the middle class doesn't pay any attention to his brand.

5. Shatta Wale’s public smoking attitude

Shatta Wale has been spotted on several occasions smoking in social media videos (public smoking), this many say makes him a lawless musician as public smoking is prohibited per Ghanaian laws

6. Shatta Wale’ brand is generally ‘dirty’

There are some other critics who hold the views that Shatta Wale's general choice of words, and in music are 'vulgar', making him a 'dirty' artiste in Ghana music.
