Switzerland come from behind to win against Serbia at Russia 2018

- Xherdan Shaqiri scored a 90th minute winner for Swiztzerland

- Serbia go into their last match against Brazil knowing only a win would carry them through.

It was the Serbians who bossed the first half of their clash with Switzerland but were pegged back by fine efforts from Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri. Both teams came into the game knowing a win was crucial to their task at Russia 2018.

Shaqiri kept his cool to finish a brilliant second-half fightback from Vladimir Petkovic's side. It all began when Granit Xhaka scored a thunderous equaliser early in the second half.

Arsenal midfielder Xhaka defied Switzerland's reputation as a side lacking in attacking threat when he rattled the ball into the net from 25 yards. Things seemed to have evened out from there.

It was Serbia's Aleksandar Mitrovic who wreaked havoc in Switzerland's box throughout the first half. He scored from the second opportunity presented to him as early as the 6th minute.

But Serbia's early energy faded as the game wore on. The defeat leaves Mladen Krstajic's team heading into their last Group E game against Brazil with nothing but an intention to win.
