- Kwesi Nyantakyi caught on camera selling alcohol
- The former GFA president was implicated in an Anas corruption exposé in Ghana football
Embattled former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, is apparently still trending despite so many days passing since he was caught up in an exposé.
The 49-year-old was seriously under the spotlight after he was captured compromising his position in an undercover piece premiered by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The said exposé, titled ‘Number 12’, implicated several referees and officials of the GFA, including Nyantakyi himself.
The 49-year-old has since resigned from his posts as GFA president, WAFU Zone B president, CAF 1st vice president and FIFA Council Member.
But just when it seemed like Nyantakyi’s name was fading off the internet, a video of him advertising an alcoholic beverage has popped up on social media.
In a video that has gone viral, the Wa All Stars owner is captured exalting the quality of the beverage Happy Man Bitters and encourage people to buy it.
“I have been to the factory myself to witness how Happy Man Bitters is produced. I’ve seen that they use natural herbs for its production an it’s a quality drink,” Nyantakyi said in the video.
It appears the video is old but the content has got many netizens talking about it on social media.
Whiles some questioned the rationale behind it, others could not understand why a devoted Muslim like Nyantakyi would be advertising an alcoholic beverage.
