Veteran Ghanaian highlife artiste, Akosua Agyapong, appears to have been angered by the conduct of some Ghanaian journalists, especially bloggers.
According to the musician, God will deal ruthlessly with any Ghanaian blogger who destroys the reputation of others in exchange of cash.
To her, bloggers must be circumspect and demonstrate high sense of professionalism in doing their jobs.
Speaking on Accra FM recently, as monitored by Classfmonline.com, the musician accused some Ghanaian bloggers of stealing and selling private videos of some Ghanaian celebrities to international sites to enrich themselves.
Akosua Agyapong urged entertainment bloggers to verify and crosscheck information made available to them before publishing on the internet.
The popular singer who was reacting to Shatta Wale’s alleged leaked adult video, said bloggers must be professional in order not to destroy the reputation s of celebrities.
“God will deal with any blogger who sells other people’s videos online, because there are a lot of things that they are doing. I don’t know where they get information from but I think Shatta Wale shouldn’t have responded to that video at all,” she said.
The musician in her interaction, argued that once Shatta Wale’s face did not show in the alleged leaked tape, it could have been any other person.
“Once his face was not shown, he shouldn’t have responded at all, because it could happen that it was not him, but the way he spoke, it is like he’s accepting the fact that he’s the one who did that. I think that part, I was not happy with him,” she insisted.
The musician called on the wrath of God upon bloggers who are ‘damaging’ other people’s home with their work.
“As for bloggers, the way they do things, God will ask them: … ‘Has someone sent them to be bloggers?’ No one has sent them to be bloggers. If you need information, you can do a phone interview and ask me whatever it is and I’ll answer… but you don’t frame up something because you want information, some of them do bad things,” Akosua Agyapong said.
The conduct of some Ghanaian journalists, especially bloggers have recently come up for debate.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaian celebrities including, Shatta Wale have declared ‘war’ on Ghanaian bloggers.
