- Rev. Owusu Bempah has thrown his weight behind Kennedy Agyapong as he attempts to expose Anas
- Owusu Bempah stated in a recent interview that, just like Kennedy Agyapong, he also deems Anas work as questionable
The quest of the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, to expose investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has been given a boost as renowned 'man of God', Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah shares in the MP's opinion.
Kennedy Agyapong had been arguing that the methods of entrapment used by Anas to get people caught in corruption is unfair and self-serving and must not be entertained.
Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International has, in his latest interview, given more weight to these arguments with an observation he claims to have made after watching Anas' Number 12 documentary.
According to him, after watching the documentary on corruption in the Ghanaian football arena, he has also concluded that there are some question marks with Anas’ work.
'I did not understand why Anas concluded he gave a bribe to Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, immediate past president of Ghana Football Association when he told him the money was for shopping,' he is reported by Graphic Online to have said on Okay FM.
Owusu Bempah also wondered why Anas decided to present cash to some of the people [referees, protocol officers, sports administrators] in his video and told them it was a gift but turned around to accuse them of taking a bribe.
He would have preferred that Anas allowed the people to make demands in return for favours to be able to convincingly conclude that was the bribe.
He, therefore, suggested the need to support Mr Kennedy Agyapong in his campaign against Anas, observing that Anas needs to be advised that he should desist from offering gifts to people and turning around to accuse and disgrace them.
Owusu Bempah further questioned why Anas walks around covering his face if he genuinely thinks what he was doing was the right thing and was good for Ghanaians.
The man of God's disclosure comes just a day before the Assin Central MP's scheduled date to publicly show video evidence to back his claims of corruption against Anas.
Kennedy Agyapong has on several occasions branded Anas as a blackmailer who used his investigations to extort people and acquires properties hence his decision to expose him.
The video dubbed “Who watches the watchman” he says is his own version of secret recordings of how ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, operates undercover,
It will be shown at the forecourt of Oman FM, at Madina in Accra on Wednesday, June 27 at 7 pm.
